The Minnesota and Wisconsin PGA Junior Golf Associations formed an event in 1998, the Minnesota-Wisconsin PGA
Junior Cup Matches. The event would consist of the two sections selecting a team of 12 boys and 12 girls
to represent their section in a Ryder Cup team-type event. One point was to be awarded for winning a match
outright and half a point was to be awarded for a tie. The 1998 MN-WI PGA Junior Cup Matches were hosted by
the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club with the Wisconsin team coming out on top, 23 and ½ to 6 and ½. The 1999
MN-WI PGA Junior Cup Matches were co-hosted by Troy Burne GC and Stillwater CC, with the Wisconsin team winning,
22 to 14. The 2000 MN-WI PGA Junior Cup Matches were hosted by Wild Ridge GC in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with the
Wisconsin team earning 21 points to Minnesota's 15. Wayzata CC hosted the 2001 MN-WI PGA Cup Matches, and the
Wisconsin team won, 22 ½ to 13 ½. The 2002 Minnesota-Wisconsin Cup Matches were hosted by Cedar Creek Country
Club in Onalaksa, WI on June 10th. The juniors played four-ball matches in the morning, and singles matches in
the afternoon.
