• 2003 Players' Tour Tournament of Champions
The 2003 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Tournament of Champions was a two-day, 36-hole event. It took place at Izatys Golf & Yacht Club on August 14th and 15th. To be eligible for this event, the junior must have won a Players' Tour event OR be in the top 20 for boys' and top 6 for girls' Player of the Year Point Standings for the series that they participated in.
The first 18 holes were played on The Sanctuary Course with the final 18 holes played on the Black Brook Course. Par for the 36-hole event was 144 for both boys & girls. Erik Helgerson of Chisago Lakes, MN, and Samantha Sommers of St. Cloud, MN won their titles; with Erik finishing at three over par for the tournament to win by 1 stroke over Dan Barthell, and Sam finishing three over par for the tournament to win by 7 strokes over Kelli Berns.
